Entries open for Dalesman Awards 2014

The Dalesman Awards are an annual celebration of the men, women and businesses that make Yorkshire great.

This year’s ceremony is extra special, as it takes place in Dalesman’s 75th anniversary year.

The event, which will be hosted by Ian McMillan, takes place in May and nominations are now open, so if there is an individual or company that you think deserves recognition, please let us know.

Double Olympic gold medal winner Andrew Triggs-Hodge wins Yorkshireman of the Year at last year’s awards

There are a number of categories including:

  • Yorkshireman/Woman of the Year,
  • Entrepreneur of the Year,
  • Young Achiever of the Year,
  • Rural Tourism Award,
  • Food and Drink Producer of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

Additionally, for the second time this year, we will be looking for the best rural writing talent with the Ian McMillan New Writing Award for writers of poetry or prose.
